Modernization of flue gas cleaning under high pressure
A state-of-the-art flue gas cleaning plant is currently being built at the Neufahrn site (August 2025) – a milestone for the future of existing energy and industrial plants. The “
The brownfield challenge
The project team is integrating the new plant into an existing infrastructure – with a tight schedule and complex framework conditions. Especially in a brownfield project like the one in Neufahrn, precision and experience are crucial. Using state-of-the-art methods such as laser scanning and CAD planning, the engineering team records every detail with millimeter precision. This creates a solid basis for perfectly integrating the flue gas cleaning system without interfering with ongoing operations. The experienced team at GARANT-Filter coordinates the implementation on site with the utmost precision and quality and ensures that every step is carried out precisely and on schedule.
Technologies in use
The Neufahrn flue gas cleaning system combines several innovative technologies that enable maximum efficiency and sustainability:
-
Bag filter with 5 chambers: reliably protects against emissions and guarantees full system availability.
-
High-performance cyclones: separate ash particularly efficiently and thus significantly reduce landfill costs.
-
Static mixer: reduces additive consumption, lowers operating costs and protects the environment.
-
Flexible use: ideal for new and replacement systems and can be expanded modularly.
Thanks to these technologies, the operator can not only safely meet the legal requirements, but also save operating costs in the long term.
Sustainability and future prospects in Neufahrn
The Neufahrn flue gas cleaning system not only improves emission protection, but also conserves valuable resources. Thanks to its precise design, the plant consumes fewer additives, thereby reducing operating costs and protecting the environment. At the same time, the efficient ash separation reduces the need for landfill – a decisive advantage in view of rising disposal costs.
With this project, ENTECCOgroup is sending out a strong signal: sustainability, efficiency and state-of-the-art technology can be successfully combined. The Neufahrn flue gas cleaning system shows how existing power plants and industrial facilities can be set up for the future. Operators benefit from a robust, long-lasting solution that protects both the environment and resources, making the plant not only a local advantage, but also a model for other locations in Europe.
