Project details

For the new CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) production plant of Stora Enso in Sweden, LHS supplied a turnkey solution for the extraction and filtration of the chips and dust produced. This plant was put into operation in September 2018.

Components

  • Suction pipe system
  • Filter
  • Rotary valves
  • Fans
  • Return air system
  • HD Funding

Operating principle

Chips and dust are extracted from the individual production machines via three fan groups. These are separated in the filter, transferred via rotary valves to a high-pressure conveying system (HP system) and conveyed to a silo. The air cleaned in the filter is returned to the production hall via a closely branched pipe system, thereby increasing energy efficiency. The high negative pressures at the upstream production machines made hydraulic balancing complex and the use of stronger fans necessary.
