Aluminum

It is hard to imagine our everyday lives without aluminum. It has a wide range of uses and can be found in construction, transportation, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, packaging, sports and leisure products.

The production of aluminum, as well as the recycling of aluminum products, produces a variety of harmful emissions. In these processes, the flue gas must be cleaned not only of particulate dusts but also of toxic and acidic pollutant gases. These are, for example, hydrocarbon compounds, hydrofluorocarbons, dioxins and furans emitted during production.

We use additive-fed entrained-flow processes for this purpose, which enable us to effectively reduce the aforementioned emissions. The process technology therefore differs from an ordinary dust removal. For more information, see the Dry Sorption Systems page.

In the primary aluminum sector, air cleaning systems, e.g. pitch fume treatment systems (PFTS) and gas treatment centers (GTC), are available for the following areas:

  • Anode production / Green anodes
  • Rodding Shop
  • Anode Burning Furnaces
  • Electrolysis

In the secondary aluminum sector, we have gas purification systems for the following areas:

  • Rotary drum furnaces
  • Stoves
  • Treatment furnaces
  • Chip processing
  • Loading stations
  • Scabies treatment
  • Casting plants

For the previously mentioned applications in the aluminum industry, we develop and manufacture turnkey gas cleaning systems for you. These meet the strictest regulations found in the world and consist of:

  • Acquisition hoods
  • Piping systems
  • Heat recovery/RECO
  • Gas cooler
  • Modern filter systems
  • Additive dosing units
  • Residual material silos
  • Dust conveyor systems
  • Fans
  • Silencer
  • Fireplaces
